all the livelong day and the long dark night what do i do? dream about you from the first time that you came in sight suddenly my gloomy old sky turned magically bright you'll find we're perfect casting, you & i will love that's everlasting will i leave you ever? never never never all i live for now is just to hold you tight all the livelong day and the long dark night no chance you're taking chances taking me on believe when this woman says: summer spring and fall time you're my one and all time all i live for now is just to hold you tight all the livelong day and the long dark night

the middle of road is the hardest to uphold the well worn paths outside of me tend to present only the extreme spoken so loudly you can hardly make out what they mean C: the middle way is doomed, due to lack of volume when the messengers shrink for long enough to breathe inhale deep and start to think to choose a path rather than be towed a load behind their guiding light too often the pull is strong and we go along let others choose the course of history lights so bright we can't see another option? what kind of potion are you drinking? C there is no way but thinking the path of the middle ground sees the whole of it's surroundings this leads to perspective, unfortunately once rejected the outside will continue to spew their vulgar positions will envelop you as their voices swell your thoughts dwell in the silence amidst the screams to continue to exist clear the head daily for sustenance C unless the voices grow so proud the talking heads can't hold their ground ears will ring when the outsiders' cry is gone stillness, silence, it won't be long before we hear the centre song

7 days till i see your face 7 days till i'm in your place 7 days till i know if we're friends or if i should prepare to be lonely said the other day, i made you happy just to think of me made your day though i felt the same, couldn't push from my mouth any meaningful words about you been saying for years "i don't need your kind one way track to tears and i don't like crying" now tears have been shed and i don't understand why i can't forget you think that you're what i need that you're everything that i need what does that mean? i'll know in 7 days, will you take what's yours? 7 days till i receive the cure until then every note that i pen every thought that i send will be about you 7 days then we'll see 7 days, won't we?

we were supposed to be like Jack & Suzy two kids in the yard, it wouldn't be that hard on you at least you envision a reality that never was never could be just a sketch of some false memory a time when women were everything they were meant to be C: the way we never were will we ever find the cure? the way we never were will we ever find, will we ever find the cure? you knew from the start i would never play the part be the keeper of your castle why would you want the hassle of forcing your love to walk behind you? she wants to walk beside you even catch you when you fall in my imperfection i will stumble too but where were you when i called out for you? C too busy chasing some stereotypical goal don't you see, you'll never fit the mold? they set the bar so high even the greatest men must fold but they'll hide their failures from you so you'll sing the song anew the way we never were what you'll aspire to who? who are you? who are you trying to please? only you know what you need C

snow 02:21
snow fills the fields we used to know and the little park where we would go sleeps far below, in the snow gone it's all over and you're gone but the memory lives on, although our dreams lie buried, in the snow sometimes the wind blows through the trees and i think i hear you calling me but all i see is snow everywhere i go as the cold winter sun sinks low i walk alone, in the snow

reckless 03:00
i hear some songs are written just to take away the pain this one's to remind you some things never go away cause you're reckless reckless indeed reckless with a friendship that meant something to me ever since the day i met you i loved you from the start for years i sang your praises set you a breed apart but come to find you're just like everybody else you only care for you and you alone, no one else let's call you reckless reckless indeed last time that we spoke you just didn't seem to see i've lost my faith in you went and did something i'd never do played a game of fast and loose with the truth now there's nothing that you can do well i forgave your sister when she broke my brother's heart i'll forgive you this one too, but forgetting's going to far that's just reckless reckless indeed reckless to forget that you're too selfish to see that you're reckless reckless indeed next time i'll remember how you're prone to be instead of writing down my problems just to push them away i'll pen a fist full of mud just to throw it in your face i know it's reckless reckless indeed next time best think twice before crossing me.

it's all desire it's all desire it's all desire led you to me then you found out you could talk to me threw a wrench in your plan so it seems you couldn't stand to fuck a woman with mental capabilities she just might see the truth in me not that you wouldn't mind having a good time desire remains although i brought you pain it's just that when the morning comes you'll feel the need, explanation respect leads to obligation it's all desire it's all desire it's all desire so you left me to spend the night alone while you went home with some little wench you could screw without the stench of responsibility it's haunting now, your memory nothing to respect, just in then out but yet you didn't know i would've gone done the deed you wanted done it's all desire it's all desire it's all desire let you do me

time laughs 04:54
if i knew the name of every mountain i crossed on the way to yours from mine perhaps i'd know the way to make you love me the only one who knows now is time time has a way of holding answers just one or two or twenty steps away from understanding yesterday time passed on and out my heart you wandered till one day a letter crossed my path you'd found your flaws you'd taken me for granted do i cry or throw my head back and laugh? laughter shakes and keeps frustration far enough away that i can last another day, another day, another chance for time to pass if i knew the name of every mountain i crossed on the way to yours from mine perhaps i'd know the way to make you love me but the only one who knows now, is time time has a way of holding answers the truth cuts but clarifies the way laughter helps to keep the pain at bay

is it? is it now? is it now in season? is it really alive? really lovely? ida's idea has it known how, that you'll do what you say? you could not do what you don't know how to tighten right now tighten right now tightening your trousers all that's left to say if it was in season gently right now gently right now tightening your trousers ----- when i talk with ida everything is clear time is not important when there is no fear when i heard her calling (i was locked in her dreams) calling my name slowly i am certain i've never been the same time is not important (i was locked in her name) calling my name when i talk with ida then there is no fear time is not important tightening your trousers time is not important time is not important tightening your trousers time is not important time is not important

about

qualia Oakland, California

Qualia is the auditory outfit spearheaded by Alison Niedbalski.
Her devotion to music became apparent early on, spending hours spinning records, playing classical piano, & arguing with other children who "loved" the Beatles but had never heard of Harry Nilsson.
After an affair with academia, she moved West to teach Philosophy and found herself forming a Band.
